Today, Sunday, 2/11/2025, a delegation from the Vision Foundation for Strategic Studies visited the Armenian Consulate in Erbil. During the meeting with Mr. Rafael Movsisyan, the Consul General of Armenia, in-depth discussions were held about the genocidal tragedies experienced by both the Armenian and Kurdish peoples, and ways to benefit from the Armenian experience in raising global awareness of the tragedy they endured and addressing it.
During the meeting, the Vision Foundation expressed its desire to draw on the Armenian experience to conduct distinguished scientific research on the Anfal crime and tragedy, aiming to achieve international recognition of this crime as a precedent of genocide, and to work toward holding those responsible accountable while ensuring justice for the victims and their families by Iraq and the international community.
The Consul General of the Republic of Armenia expressed his readiness to strengthen coordination and cooperation between research centers and relevant institutions in both Armenia and the Kurdistan Region.
