Formulating a comprehensive and inclusive plan to advance the education sector, pursuing educational reform, aligning curricula with global developments, and designing an actionable plan based on opportunities and obstacles served as the primary theme of a focus group organized by Vision Foundation on the education sector.
On Thursday, October 8, 2026, with the participation of an elite group of experts and specialists, educational supervisors and trainers, school principals, teachers, and educators, a focus group on the education sector was held at Vision Foundation for Strategic Studies, as part of drafting a practical, long-term strategic plan across all fields and sectors.
In the focus group, participants discussed the strengths and weaknesses, opportunities, and obstacles facing the education sector across all areas related to curricula and educational requirements, evaluating the present situation, the past, and expectations for the future. They also addressed the quality of education in learning institutions, the competencies of teachers and students, teaching methodologies, teacher training programs, administrative and management challenges within educational institutions, the level of supervision and evaluation, educational facilities and environments, the philosophy of education and its alignment with global developments, and the assessment of educational superstructure and infrastructure.
Another part of the discussions was devoted to evaluating government plans with the participation of the private sector, civil society organizations, and specialized local and international organizations, along with engaging them in advancing the educational process.
The discussions and insights of the focus group participants will be published by Vision Foundation for Strategic Studies within the framework of a policy paper and scientific research, with its recommendations and proposals submitted to the relevant authorities.
